The Toppers are back in the NCAAs! I drove down to Mobile, AL with two buddies to attend the semi-finals and finals of the Sun Belt Tournament at the Mitchell Center on University of South Alabama’s campus. After watching the shocking upset of MTSU over USA on Monday evening, I really felt good about WKU’s chances. After easily taking care of UALR in the semi-finals, WKU paired up with MTSU in the championship game of the men’s tournament. The WKU Lady Toppers also met MTSU in the finals of their tournament. I must admit, it was great to see the Toppers sweep the Men’s and Women’s Sun Belt Tournament Championships against our rival Blue Raiders of MTSU. We drove straight back to Bowling Green through the night after the victory, which make the drive much more enjoyable. It was a GREAT day to be a Hilltopper! WKU finds out on Sunday where the Hilltoppers will be playing first round; the Lady Toppers find out on Monday.

While in Mobile, we did find time to tour the U.S.S. Alabama, a retired Battleship. It is well worth the $12.00 cost to tour.
